Google Pixel Buds 2 Briefly Listed for Sale

"Google Pixel Buds 2" Google announced its first-ever true wireless earphones, the new Google Pixel Buds, back in October 2019 alongside the Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. At the time, Google announced that the new earphones would go on sale in early 2020, but didn't reveal any other details including pricing and country-specific availability. A new report now suggests that the true wireless Google Pixel Buds could go on sale soon, priced at $179 approximately Rs. 12,800 based on a now-removed product listing on a third-party online store.

The listing was spotted on the online store of B&H Photo by 9to5Google, which also spotted the $179 price and the ‘Clearly White' color option. The listing did not have any images and was for pre-orders. While active, 9to5Google states that it was possible to go ahead and complete the pre-order, but no shipping date was given.

The listing has since been removed, and searching for Pixel Buds on the online store only shows the standard Bluetooth version of the Google Pixel Buds that was released in 2017. The new Pixel Buds have a claimed battery life of 5 hours per charge, with an additional 24 hours provided by the case. As with earlier Google earphones, Google Assistant will be easy to access on the true wireless earphones.

Although it doesn't indicate a lot, it's a sign that the Pixel Buds could go on sale in some countries soon, and the price leak of $179 is likely to be accurate as well. This would now put the new Google Pixel Buds up against the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Buds plus which are already up for pre-order in India for Rs. 11,990. Unlike the AirPods Pro which features active noise cancellation, the new Google Pixel Buds have passive noise isolation.

Google Pixel Buds 2 Release Date

Google uncovered that Google Pixel Buds 2 will be released in Spring 2020. It means anywhere in March, April, and May of 2020 and we will update you once we have a proper confirmation on this

You can now access Google Assistant hands-free by simply saying, “Hey, Google.” The Buds come equipped with sensors to pick up ambient noise and adjust speaker volume and microphone range accordingly. Google has said that the Buds launch with beamforming microphones and sensors. Thus, it allows for better experience while talking on the phone.

Google Pixel Buds 2 Battery

According to Google, the Buds will be connected up to three rooms away while you are indoors. The outdoor connection range is up to a football field and the battery life Google Pixel Buds 2 is more or less the same as the AirPods. On the other hand, the new Pixel Buds charging case delivers an additional 19 hours of battery life. Moreover, the new Google Pixel Buds 2 looks very cool, but we will have to wait until next year to try them.

Pixel Buds 2 Design And Audio

Google says it filtered thousands of ears to come up with a design that fit a majority of people comfortably. The Pixel Buds 2 will fit flush in your ear as opposed to jutting out, with a stabilizer arc and interchangeable tip helping create a secure fit.

In terms of sound quality, Google is promising rich bass and clear highs, augmented by the Pixel Buds creating a seal against your ear to hold in audio. There's a spatial vent in the new Pixel Buds that let in enough environment sound so you're still aware of the world around you. The Pixel Buds 2 features an adaptive sound that can adjust to your surroundings — raising the volume as you leave a quiet room for the noisy outdoors.

Every earbud features two beam-forming microphones that kick into action when you use the Pixel Buds to field a call on your phone.

Pixel Buds 2 Connectivity

Speaking of your phone, it does not need to be nearby for the Pixel Buds 2 to do their thing. Google says the earbuds feature a long-range Bluetooth connection that should allow you to leave your phone indoors or in another room while the Pixel Buds continue to work. Inside, you'll be able to stay connected from three rooms away and outside the Pixel Buds stay connected to the phone up to 100 yards away.

You will be able to summon the Google Assistant with a wake word ("OK Google") and those translation skills that impressed us in 2017 are back.

On the other hands, Google has clearly designed its earbuds with the new Pixel 4 phones in mind, the Pixel Buds 2 will work with any Android device running Android 6 or later. The Pixel Buds 2 is also compatible with devices that support Bluetooth 4.0+, including laptops, tablets, and even the iPhone.

Pixel Buds 2 Price

The $179 is asking price for the Pixel Buds 2 may raise a few eyebrows. That is $20 more than Google charged for the original Pixel Buds, and also more than $158 you had pay for Apple's AirPods 2 if you opt for a standard carrying case and also with a wireless charging case, the AirPods cost $20 more than the new Pixel Buds. Samsung's Galaxy Buds cost $129.

You shall have a choice of four different colors with the Pixel Buds 2 available in Clearly White, Oh So Orange, Quite Mint and Almost Black. That is white, orange, mint, and black if you're not familiar with Google's naming schemes for colors.

It will be some time before we find out if Google's new Pixel Buds are worth the $179 cost, as the new earbuds won't arrive until next spring.

Harvey Weinstein Trial Jury Begins Deliberating

The jury in the Harvey Weinstein sex-crimes trial was told to use "common sense" in its instructions from Judge James Burke on Tuesday, before retiring to begin their deliberations on the formerly powerful movie producer's fate.

"You and you alone are responsible for deciding whether the defendant is guilty or not guilty," Burke told the seven men and five women of the jury in his opening remarks.

"I’m going to submit this case to you for final determination," he concluded. "The law requires that you render an impartial verdict."

Burke spent about an hour explaining the three parts of his instructions, including a general statement of the law, a statement of the law specific to the case, and the conduct of deliberations.

He explained the meaning of the "presumption of innocence," the "burden of proof," and "proof beyond a reasonable doubt."

"You must base your verdict solely on evidence received in this trial," Burke said, reminding them that opening and closing statements by both sides are not evidence.

He said they may consider whether witnesses made statements on the stand that are inconsistent in this trial, or whether previous statements are inconsistent with their testimony.

"Further, you may consider whether a witness made statements that are consistent in this trial," Burke said. "The bottom line is that you should apply the same common sense in the jury room that you are called on to use in the rest of your lives."

Another bottom line, Burke said: "A witness’ interest or bias is another factor that you should consider when determining a witness’ credibility."

The judge's reference to "common sense" was notable in that it was a theme of the Weinstein's lead lawyer, Donna Rotunno, called on the jury to use its "New York common sense" to acquit her client.

Burke defined for the jury what some of the legal terms mean, such as "forcible compulsion" and "intent."

"Intent means conscious objective or purpose," he said. "Intent does not require premeditation, nor is it necessary that the intent is in the person’s mind for any period of time" because it can be in the moment.

He went into some clinical detail about the definitions of forcible sexual intercourse, which can mean "any penetration, however slight."

Their findings also have to make internal sense according to how the counts are arrayed against Weinstein: "If you find the defendant not guilty of count 1, predatory sexual assault, then you must also find the defendant not guilty of count 3, predatory sexual assault," Burke said.

He stressed that the jury must vote unanimously, whether to convict or acquit, on each of the five charges. He said they can refer to notes they took in the courtroom, and can also ask to hear or read any part of the testimony again. Once they reach a verdict, they will send the judge a written note with the date and time the verdict was reached.

He said they would be sequestered while they are deliberating in the courthouse (no phones or other devices allowed) and can discuss the case only among themselves.

With that, the jury rose and went into the deliberation room.

Before the jury was brought into the courtroom in the morning, defense lawyers sought to discharge one woman juror and replace her with an alternate, on the grounds she has been reading a French book about consent and predatory behavior. But the judge ruled against it.

In another back-and-forth between the lawyers without the jury present, prosecutors objected to an op-ed that Rotunno published in Newsweek, in which she "implored" the jury to acquit her client using similar words she used in her closing argument last week.

Prosecutors claimed the op-ed violated the court's order about not addressing the jury outside the courtroom. They argued that Harvey Weinstein should be locked up during deliberations as punishment and asked the judge to warn the jury in his instructions of the defense team's alleged bad behavior.

Judge Burke did not agree; he reminded Rotunno not to speak to the media and moved on.

Harvey Weinstein is charged with five sex crimes, including rape and predatory assault, involving two accusers, Miriam "Mimi" Haleyi and Jessica Mann, who say he sexually assaulted them in 2006 and 2013 respectively.

This final stage of the trial, which opened Jan. 6, comes after two weeks of jury selection and four weeks of testimony, plus opening and closing arguments by prosecutors from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office and lawyers from Weinstein's defense team.

On Thursday, Rotunno spent about five hours summing up the defense, arguing that prosecutors failed to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt and calling on jurors to use their "New York City common sense" to acquit Weinstein.

Too many holes in the accusers' stories, too much passage of time and extensive evidence of continuing friendly contact between the powerful producer and his accusers add up to reasonable doubt, she said.

"Every time you feel emotion taking over, let common sense guide you," she said.

On Friday, Assistant District Attorney Joan Illuzzi spent about three hours summing up the prosecution's case, arguing that Weinstein was an "abusive racist" and that faltering memories, friendly exchanges and even consensual sexual relationships with his accusers did not erase his guilt in the specific charges against him.

She said Harvey Weinstein sees himself as “the master of his universe, and the witnesses here were really ants whom he could step on without consequences.”

The trial has been closely watched as the first and so far only major celebrity criminal trial of the #MeToo era. It is concluding more than two years after media exposes accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct dating back decades and involving allegations by more than 80 women in multiple jurisdictions.

In addition to the two main accusers, the trial featured testimony from four other accusers whose allegations were either too old to prosecute or did not occur in New York. Their testimony was offered by prosecutors to bolster their case that Harvey Weinstein demonstrated an alleged pattern of "prior bad acts."

Harvey Weinstein also is accused of four similar sex crimes in Los Angeles County in 2013. That case, which was announced as the trial opened in Manhattan in January, has been on hold until the New York case is concluded.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Specs, Price, Release Date

"Samsung Galaxy Note 20" After that, the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip are here it is time to look ahead to the Samsung Galaxy Note 20. Like others, Samsung’s Galaxy S series before it the next Galaxy Note phablet could be a major step up from last year’s models, with some key display and camera developments that could make one of the best big smartphones even better and based on recent rumors we have heard you won’t have to wait very long for the Note 20 to arrive.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 release date

According to Twitter leaks Max Weinbach the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 could launch as soon as July 2020 along with the rumored Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 and this lines up with Samsung’s ordinary release schedule for its Note devices which normally launch by August of every year.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 price

Based on Samsung’s historical pricing, we do not expect the Samsung Note 20 to come cheap. The Galaxy Note 10 currently starts at $949 with the Galaxy Note 10 Plus going for $1,099 and the Note 10 Plus 5G costing $1,299.

Samsung’s launched Galaxy S20 follows a similar pricing structure with the Galaxy S20 starting at $999 the Galaxy S20 Plus at $1,199 and the Galaxy S20 Ultra at $1,399. Do not expect to pay less than $1,000 for the Galaxy Note 20.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 specs

Details on the Galaxy Note 20 specs sheet are currently thin but the rumors we have heard so far point to some significant improvements. According to tipster Ice Universe, Note 20 will feature a more “fine-tuned” version of the 120Hz refresh rate displays we saw debut on the Galaxy S20 series.

We are not sure what that fine-tuning means but it is worth pointing out that the Galaxy S20 ca not use 120Hz at full resolution. If Samsung can fix this for the Note 20 series and allow you to enjoy both maximum smoothness and fidelity it could be the ultimate phone for big-screen gaming and productivity.

A leaked CAD schematic found in January could be an indication of the Galaxy Note 20's final design. According to the image in question Note 20 will likely have all of the Note’s usual ports including a slot for Samsung’s signature S-Pen, but also seems to have an extra-large camera module.

That could be an indication that Note 20 is receiving the Galaxy S20 series’ camera setup with a triple-lens setup for the base Note 20 and perhaps the Galaxy S20 Ultra’s quad-lens setup for the Note 20 plus. The Note series normally gets the Galaxy S’ cameras with slight upgrades, so this

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 design

The Galaxy Note 20 could very well launch in three models similar to the Galaxy S20 lineup. According to Windows United a site that has made a series of Galaxy Note 20 renders. They show the possible design for the Galaxy Note 20 Plus and Galaxy Note 20 Plus Ultra.

The design looks similar to the S20 but there is room for a Stylus Pen holster for Samsung's stylus. Every design features Samsung's Infinity-O display but Windows United says that Samsung could go even bigger with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, surpassing 7 inches for the screen.

Display

While the punch-hole is surely a less obstructive upgrade from the notch there are still compromises we had love to see a screen without any break whatsoever and that probably implies an under-display window for the front-looking lens which is something a leak actually recommends might happen.

Note 11 probably won't wind up being the first device with this improvement but given its status as the sleeker design-oriented variant in Samsung’s lineup, we would like to see that big phablet display go seamless.

5G across the board

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 20 series is it is first to support 5G connectivity out of the gate for every model, and we’d like to see the Note series follow suit.

Battery life

Note 20 lasted 9 hours and 25 minutes on our battery test, which consists of endless surfing on LTE. That isn't terrible yet behind the iPhone 11 Pro Max (11:44), Galaxy S10 Plus (12:35) and Huawei P30 Pro (12:53). A long-lasting Note 20 could make Samsung’s biggest device even more ideal for those looking to get work done on the go and could make it a compelling rival to Apple’s biggest flagship iPhone 12 option later this year.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Enjoy Date Night

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West surprised fans when they were spotted sitting courtside at the 2020 NBA All-Star game on Sunday night. And since the sporting event was held in Chicago, the location marked a special spot for the 42-year-old rapper, who grew up in the city.

Earlier in the day, West also hosted Sunday Service at the Credit 1 Arena in Chicago.

For the NBA All-Star event, the power couple made it a date night.

Moreover, the dynamic duo brought their fashion A-game. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star lit up the room with a fiery monochromatic orange ensemble. The beauty mogul beat the cold weather with a copper puffer jacket that she paired with matching leather pants.

The Jesus Is King singer's lewk was also a slam dunk, as he donned a black jacket with a vibrant red shirt and printed denim jeans.

During the basketball game, the longtime pair took a moment to pay respects to the late Kobe Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter, and the seven other victims who tragically died in a helicopter crash last month.

Before player introductions, Jennifer Hudson commanded the room with her special performance in honor of the late Lakers legend.

The Oscar winner donned a purple velvet long-sleeve dress and gold drop-earrings that were also an homage to Bryant.

Moreover, Common and Magic Johnson also held a special tribute for the 41-year-old star. "We are all hurting," Johnson expressed. "This is a tough time for the whole NBA family, and if I can get you all to rise right quick."

"We need to really embrace each other at this time, this tough time," he said, before holding an eight-second moment of silence. "Come together, love each other. Kobe would have wanted that. That's very important. And if we can just have it quiet for eight seconds. God bless you."

In addition to their moving tributes before the game started, more stars honored Bryant and his teenage daughter.

LeBron James' team honored Gianna by wearing jerseys with the No. 2. Moreover, Giannis Antetokounmpo's team also sported jerseys with the No. 24, to celebrate Kobe.

Sunday night's game also marked the first time players would receive the newly re-named MVP Award, which has now been changed to honor Bryant.

The NBA Commissioner announced the update on Saturday.

"Kobe Bryant is synonymous with NBA All-Star and embodies the spirit of this global celebration of our game," Adam Silver previously said in a statement that was shared with E! News. "He always relished the opportunity to compete with the best of the best and perform at the highest level for millions of fans around the world."

Even though the NBA All-Star game will come to a close on Sunday night, the league's tributes are far from over.

On Monday, Feb. 24, the Staples Center in Los Angeles will host a public memorial service for the late Lakers star.

Jenna Bush Hager Reacts to the Controversy

Jenna Bush Hager is speaking out after Ellen DeGeneres was criticized for spending time with her father, former President George W. Bush. The 38-year-old Today show co-host appeared on Wednesday's episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, alongside her colleague, Hoda Kotb, and responded to a fan's question about the backlash Ellen received for sitting next to and laughing with Jenna's father at a Dallas Cowboys game.

"I had just had a baby, so to be totally honest I didn't pay that much attention to it," Jenna said, referring to the birth of her youngest child, 6-month-old Hal. The TV personality and her husband, Henry Hager, also have two daughters, Margaret, 6, and Poppy, 4.

"But I do think that people can have different beliefs and still be friends," she continued. "And I also think decency and humanity should be at the basis of all conversations."

In October, after fans criticized Ellen for her choice of company, the talk show host spoke out on her show, saying that she's "friends with a lot of people who don't share the same beliefs that I have."

"We're all different, and I think that we've forgotten that that's OK that we're all different," she said. "Just because I don't agree with someone on everything doesn't mean that I'm not going to be friends with them. When I say, 'Be kind to one another,' I don't mean only the people who think the same way that you do. I mean to be kind to everyone. It doesn't matter."

Shortly after Ellen's statement, celebrities reacted, with Mark Ruffalo tweeting that "we can't begin to talk about kindness" until the former president is "brought to justice for the crimes of the Iraq War," while Reese Witherspoon and Kristen Bell opted to side with the daytime talk show host.

A couple of months later, Jenna interviewed Michelle Obama, and the former first lady expressed her support of Ellen and George's friendship.

"I had the opportunity to sit by your father at funerals, the highs, and the lows and we shared stories about our kids and about our parents. Our values are the same," she said. "We disagreed on policy, but we don’t disagree on humanity. We don’t disagree with love and compassion. I think that’s true for all of us, it’s just that we get lost in our fear of what’s different."

  • 167.9 x 73.6 x 6.9-7.2mm (open); 87.4 x 73.6 x 15.4-17.3mm (closed), 183g
  • Black, gold or purple options

The Z Flip dramatically different from the original Fold is in its design the second-gen folding phone will sport a clamshell design, so it is a smaller folding device akin to the Moto Razr. It is coming in black gold and purple options.

There is a bezel around the display hardly the edge-to-edge experience we have come to expect from Samsung. That display is confirmed to be 6.7-inches.

The pivot is similar to the existing Galaxy Fold but Samsung says it's good for over 200,000 folds. This pivot offers Flex Mode, meaning you can open the hinge at different angles, with the content adjusting to fit the device. Samsung says that there are unique fibers inside the device to keep out dirt and debris.

The outside of the phone Gorilla Glass 6 and there's a small secondary display on the outside which will be a 1-inch display that you can use to check notifications, but also use as a display for the camera, so you can use the main camera as a selfie camera. There will be a fingerprint sensor on the side of the smartphone. There will be a Tom Browne special edition of the phone.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Display

  • 6.7-inch Infinity Flex display, AMOLED
  • 21.9:9 aspect, 2636 x 1080 pixels, 425ppi
  • 1.1-inch, 300 x 112 pixel external display, 303ppi

The primary display measures 6.7-inches on the diagonal with a resolution of 2636 x 1080 pixels for 425PPI and it has a tall 21.9:9 aspect. That is taller than most other phones, even Sony's 21:9 Xperia 1. The display is being referred to as Infinity Flex, with a punch hole for the front-facing camera.

It is also a coated inflexible glass aiming to add more protection and reduce those scratches on the screen.

There is a small AMOLED display on the outside of the handset where you'll be able to glance at the information when the phone is closed; it measures 1.1-inches with a resolution of 300 x 116 pixels. You will be able to use this display in conjunction with the rear camera, so you can use the main camera for taking selfies, rather than using the front camera.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Cameras

The first thing to note about the cameras is that there are dual cameras on the outside the primary camera here is 12-megapixels. That appears to be the same camera as the Galaxy S10 based on the specs rather than the enhanced camera that is just appeared on the Galaxy S20.

The secondary camera is also 12-megapixels offering an ultra-wide view at 123 degrees, with an f/2.2 aperture.

On the other hand, for the front-facing camera, Samsung is going with a single punch hole camera and this is a 10-megapixel sensor - probably the same as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, with f/2.4 aperture. The front camera offers autofocus.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Battery and Charging Speed

You get a 3300mAh battery which should get you through all day and it is something that has been engineered to fit in a tight space. But we really, really wish there was a cell as big as 4000mAh.

The Samsung has thrown in 18W of fast charging over USB-C and the phone is Adaptive Fast Charging compatible which means your Quick Charge 3.0 / 2.0 adapter will work just fine with this phone and wireless charging is there too and you can top up the Z Flip at a pace of 9W, which is surprisingly slow compared to every other flagship from Samsung.

You also get Wireless PowerShare so you can top up your Galaxy Buds or any other phone if you like. On the weighted end, the phone is surprisingly light at just 183 grams. I said surprisingly because the smartphone turns into a monstrosity with dimensions of 167.9x73.6x6.9-7.2mm when fully opened.

Software

The Galaxy Z Flip is equipped and runs Android 10 out of the box, which is awesome obviously and it runs Samsung's custom skin which is One UI 2.0 in this case. Personally, One UI hits home for me every single time as it is a perfect combination of features and ease of use. It is not an in your face UI in any case which is nothing more than a big win.

The folding part of the smartphone is there for a reason and it comes into play as Flex Mode. What does this is treated the upper and bottom halves of the screen as two independent screens? if you are running Google Duo you can use the upper half of the screen for the video while the bottom half can show you on-screen controls. While this feature does seem cool and promising we are not sure how well it will sit with developers.

Galaxy Z Flip clients even get access to YouTube Premium. We are not certain if this is a limited time thing, but yeah, this is definitely going to win hearts.
